  • Can I get a Superbill to submit to my insurance carrier? Absolutely, Dr. Rikoon can provide you with superbills with diagnoses and office visit (CPT) codes to submit to your insurance, however, there is no guarantee that your insurance will cover your expenses under Dr. Rikoon’s care as she is out-of-network with all insurance companies at this time. Please remember, payment is due at the time of service when you meet with Dr. Rikoon.

  • Does Dr. Rikoon work with men? Yes, she has experience working with men who are actively trying to conceive with their partners, whether they are a same sex couple working with an egg donor and a surrogate or a heterosexual couple trying to improve sperm health. Dr. Rikoon also does Maya abdominal massage and craniosacral therapy on male patients as both therapies are beneficial for stress response and digestive complaints.

  • How do I get the most out of my relationship with my doctor? Commit to yourself and your well-being, ask questions, follow through with treatment recommendations, and be patient, getting better is not a predicable linear path, it has its ups and downs, but is worth it because it will last for the long term! True holistic medicine is not a magic pill you take and get better with overnight- it takes time and Dr. Rikoon will be by your side to support you.

  • Why does Dr. Rikoon ask for my insurance information if she is a cash based practice? Laboratory testing centers and imaging centers have their own agreements and contracts with insurance carriers, so even though Dr. Rikoon does not bill for her office visits, your insurance may be able to cover the labs and imaging that she orders with her medical license. Sometimes paying cash prices for labs or imaging can actually be more affordable and Dr. Rikoon will work with you to determine which payment option is the best for your individual needs.

  • Does Dr. Rikoon see patients who do not live in New Mexico or Oregon? Yes, she does out-of-state consultations, but requires that you have a primary care provider in your home state who you see at least once per year for screening labs and check ups.
